Why subscribe?

As a 10-year Veteran of the movie blogging world, serving as Editor-in-Chief of JoBlo.com for 8 years and as a senior writer for Screen Rant for over a year, I’ve gained a significant amount of insight and experience in the world of film, particularly in how they’re made, how they’re marketed and how they’re analyzed. I pursued that job for one simple reason; I love movies. I love the artistry it takes to make them. I love the way they make me feel and I love they way they can capture the human experience. They’re the modern-day equivalent to cave paintings, telling our story as we move through existence.

But, movies aren’t my only interest. I am interested (and concerned) about the state of the world, be it politics, culture, or anything that affects our lives as humans on this giant rock floating in space. The goal of this substack is to share my views, insight, perspective, experience, anecdotes, stories, etc., but not just on the topic of movies, but whatever lights my internal fuse.

I look forward to sharing my perspective and hope that it provides something meaningful to you, be it a good laugh, a thoughtful examination or even a fiery piece that pisses you off. In the end, I hope you react, otherwise it’s a waste of time for both of us. No matter what, this is all done with my words, my ideas and done my way, for better or for worse.
